Today (Saturday...I didn't have time to post it on the night of...) was the Korea vs. Uruguay game and in Korea, they LOVEEEEEEEE soccer and have lots of pride in their country. Monique and I went with her roommate and a group of international students to go watch the game at a stadium near COEX in Gangnam. The whole day was devoted to the game which started at 11 pm.
We left around 3pm to the Sinchon subway station so we can go to the Seoul National University subway stop.
We ate at the New Millenium Hall's cafeteria/restaurant place. They also have a convenience store there, along with a cellphone store and other stores too. Anyway, this is what I got at the cafeteria. It's E-vidon....rice with some tempura shrimp. Cost: 5,500 won
...pretty good...but I didn't like that my tempura and rice was soggy from the sauce they put over it.
On our way to Sinchon subway station...
On the subway towards Seoul National University...(a little roomy...)

on the subway...
On subways in Korea, there's areas designated for the elderly people...if they are occupied by other older people then they would have to stand because youngsters and others don't offer their seats here in Korea. This is an area where the elderly are suppose to sit. Sometimes, if you are caught sitting here where there is an elder around...they will yell at you and tell you to get up since you aren't suppose to be sitting there.
This was when the subway got really crowded...it was kinda gross....our group was kind of pushed around and we ended up in different spots.
A picture of some of us on the subway...
We got off our stop to Seoul National University and went walking around...we saw...
A BURGER KING RESTAURANT IN KOREA!
The street we were on...when I saw the Burger King...
Roaming around on the streets...I saw this! It's a Vietnamese restaurant...
...there were a lot of tents selling Korean soccer jerseys and accessories for the big game.
I saw this while walking...it's a HUGEEE poster of TOP from Big Bang on a building along with G-Dragon and Tiger JK (I think that's his name) and another guy...they were all promoting the Korean soccer team...
Some busy streets of Seoul...
A RED MANGO........in Korea...
...dinner before going to the soccer game.... Cost: 5,000 won
The crowded subway station where we stopped at and got off to go to the stadium where we watched the soccer game at.
This is the stadium area where we were at watching the soccer game...this was three hours before the game and it was already crowded with people.
..the girls sporting the Korean soccer jerseys...
Monique and I waiting for the game to start...
Korean songs were being played while we were waiting for the game and most of the people sang along to them. It showed how much pride Koreans have for their country. The songs were mostly songs that boosted the spirit and pride in Koreans.
There were also live performances of popular Korean groups performing on stage at the area. This video shows how crazy fans are when they found out their K-Pop groups were performing...It's a video when 2PM was performing...
This video shows 2AM performing their song they sang for their promotion of the Korean Soccer team in the World Cup.
Before the game even started, it started to rain. Everyone brought umbrellas or bought raincoats so they wouldn't get wet. There were lots of people there even though it rain...they just wore raincoats and stayed put so they would be able to watch the game together and cheer on their soccer team.
I left before the game ended but the final score was Korea vs. Uruguay 1-2. :[
(video footages will be posted a little later because it takes too long)
