...got rice?

So...Wednesday was full of school... I decided to take the Korean Language course and today was the first day for it. I was thinking of taking a Korean Business Ethnics class because it looked fun and I heard it was easy, but the language course is more useful.

Anyway I don't get until 6 pm and by the time Monique and I headed out to eat, everything nearby was closed. Since I've been here to Korea, I've been really craving rice and because we were feeling heavy we decided to go for soup. I saw this soup restaurant in Sinchon and we decided to eat there. This was the soup I had and the rice was mixed with beans that changed the color of the white rice. Cost: 5,000 won (~$4 US)

This was the ban chan that came with our meal. I really like these side dishes!!!!!!! The one at the top right was really good...and so was the fishcakes (bottom right)

For Thursday, I had school all day and it didn't end until 6 pm...it's gonna be like this for the whole summer -__-... Anyway, a small group of us decided to go eat...we went to the Ewha area...and we decided to eat at this place called '6 Pence.' (Apparently, it was on a tv show before...because there were pictures of it on tv....posted on the windows in the front of the restaurant)
This is what they gave us for our appetizer...it was CORN :]]]] (CAROLINE......lol) anyway, it was cream of corn and I thought it was good...
...this was the 반찬 (ban chan) they served...
The restaurant was known for it's cutlet fried rolls and when the waiter brought it out, it looked pretty tasty. But I didn't want to eat meat so I got 냉국수 (it's iced noodles)...I thought it wasn't going to be really good because the different ones I've had before were all really bland but this was by far the best one I've had......it was pretty cheap too... Cost: 2,900 won (~$1.80 US)

...we decided to look around in Ewha to see what was there because I've heard from my friend Jane, who was at Yonsei last summer, that they have a lot of shopping stores for girls and hair salons... I wanted to get a hair cut too but ended up not getting one...

This is the 'Daiso' store...I went to one a day or two ago and bought lots of things because it was so cheap...everything was under 6,000 won.

....this is a section of the store...the store was 3 storys high!

and...we saw lots of shoe stores...

...and LOTS OF PURSES...

Anyway, we don't have school on Fridays and the UCEAP program set up a fieldtrip for all the UC students to go to...so for those who were able to sign up and not be on the waiting list...we are leaving tomorrow in the morning and not coming back until Sunday night. We're stopping at traditional areas and hitting up Busan so I will update y'all when I come back!
